The resident pheasant now has a girlfriend

The pheasant now has a very devoted following in the form of one pretty brown and very small (compared to him) girlfriend.  They like the fact that a lot of our very large garden (attached to the house - the cottage garden is small) has woodland areas to hide in.  I have been feeding them with wild bird seed so they are getting much more tame although "Mr Pheasy" was not that shy anyway.  They are seeming to enjoy Spring although because I see them out so much I think there is no nest.  I only hope that they have not had eggs stolen by predators and that they are just enjoying being a chickless couple.

There are some very pretty corners in the woodlands at the moment
